NAGPUR: BJP’s prime ministerial candidate L K Advani tonight accused the Congress led UPA Government of lacking in political will to fight terror
and called for zero tolerance to overcome it.
Advani while addressing a mammoth public meeting “Vijay Sankalp Sabha” at Yeshwant Stadium on the second day of three-day party national council meeting, said zero tolerance was also required to weed out corruption.
Continuing his tirade against UPA Government, he said when Congress-led government came to power in year 2004, the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh immediately announced repealing of stringent Prevention of Terrorism Act (POTA).
That was most improper initiative of the government. It clearly sent message that Government was going soft on terror, he said. “If BJP comes to power, it will certainly take the country to new heights,” he said.
Talking about agrarian crisis, he said party will ensure well being of farmers and see that no farmer commits suicide due to mounting debts.
