How does it feel to work with Ravi Chopra once again after Babbul?
It’s been a wonderful experience. Kooki and I go back to 1975 it’s been a very long association and every film that we worked together we shared the camaraderie happiness and joy and same has happened during this film as well. I hope people will like the film and it is very special to me because of two wonderful people Juhi and Aman. This is Vivek’s first film but if you see the film you will be amazed to see his work.

How does it feel to play a ghost?
(answers with a dry smile)As you can see he looks like me. I haven’t seen the ghost but if I would have seen I am sure it would have been same like this.

Isn’t this role was difficult for you to play because there is no source of inspiration to play ghost?
Vivek is the right person to answer that how he inspired me to playa ghost in this film. It’s all his efforts. He might have seen many ghosts in his life so that is why he felt this is how it looks like. I had to put on weight and look terribly ugly with my nails grown. But that was just an impression of how a ghost should look like. He is a very benevolent ghost. Initially he is frightening but later on gets very friendly with this young man.

What was your first reaction when he told you the look of you character.
The look came much later but like I said it took a while for me to understand the script.

You are playing a ghost in the film which means you will be seen less but only can hear your voice.
No, it’s an illusion that people have by this first promo. But wait. This is just first promo of the film and by the time Bhootnath will release you will get to see many things about the film.

How long did Vivek take to convince you to play the character of Bhootnath ?
Yes it took a while. Firstly I did not know Vivek. I knew Ravi Chopra and because I have faith on him, I trusted him. I got a script and had to do it. So when we met and heard the character, I was very hesitant at the beginning. I felt I don’t know what this young man is going to do? He was very enthusiastic. We had several sittings. Meanwhile I said “I don’t know why I am doing this role but I am doing it.” After hearing that Vivek shed some tears on Ravi Chopra’s shoulder then I was emotionally moved then I said okay we will do the film. I think it’s a process, when you accept a script. It took a little while but I am very happy with the final output.

You have worked with many child actors in your film. How has the experience been?
Aman grown since the time we started the film. He is an absolutely adorable child who has huge amount of talent. I am sure when you saw the promo you must have realize how much potential he has. I have worked with him in many advertisements. Now we worked together in the film like a co star. He is my leading man. All of us enjoyed working with him.

You come out more better when you work with child actors
Working with kids is always a great joy. Sometimes it is very painful because they always upstage you. They are always better than you. You have to be on guard all the time. Aman is a wonderful example of that. He is a born actor so you don’t have to tell him anything.
